internal hemmroid - degree

The degree of severity and treatment of internal hemmroids varies from person to person. Internal hemmroids can be of the following four types, based on where they are present:

1. First-degree (or grade 1) piles are small swellings on the inside lining of the anal canal. They cannot be seen or felt from outside the anus.

2. Second-degree (or grade 2) piles are larger and stick out (or prolapse) from the anus when you go to the toilet, but return afterwards.

3. Third-degree (or grade 3) piles are similar, but hang out from the anus and only return inside when pushed back with a finger.

4. Fourth-degree (or grade 4) piles permanently hang down from the anus and you cannot push them back inside.

I was told by a GI Dr that I have internal hemroids. They only flare up occasionally. It seems to be whenever I accidentaly ingest something with soy. I avoid soy but sometimes eating out I don't realize it is in the dish I order. Have you heard of this happening to others?
Thanks.
